• Ventilation method for mushroom growers

For mushroom growth, it is more important to control the CO2 concentration of ventilation facilities than temperature control.
Usually, the carbon dioxide CO2 captured in the cultivation house is heavier than the specific gravity of 44 g/mol and the air specific gravity of 28.8 g/mol, so it gathers at the bottom, and the upper part has a relatively high oxygen content.

To be especially careful during ventilation, the thermal stress of mushrooms occurs due to the temperature difference between the indoor air and the outdoor air, that is, the difference in the enthalpy of the total amount of heat (latent heat + sensible heat) of the air. , pests and, in severe cases, severe damage caused by outdoor air heat during the ventilation process such as freezing caused by cold wind and burns due to high temperature. There are a method of installing a device and a cooling device, a method of diluting and supplying a large amount of indoor air, and a method of uniformly dividing and supplying a fine amount to the entire cultivation area using a duct and diluting supply with indoor air during this process. The advantages and disadvantages of ventilation methods of air conditioners will be described in more detail in the next chapter.

Ventilation, that is, the supply method of fresh air can be divided into two in the framework. When divided into a natural passive ventilation method such as opening a window or a crevice wind between buildings, and a mechanical active ventilation method using electricity, that is, a motor, positive pressure is a mechanical ventilation method. It is divided into type, negative pressure type, and combined type with both.

First, let’s find out the installation method and characteristics of the ventilation method according to the change in the condition of the air inside the cultivation house by using a fan as a steel ventilation method.

– positive pressure

It is a method of removing foreign substances in the air through an appropriate filtering process for fresh air inside the cultivation house and blowing it into the room to ventilate. If the gap exhaust amount does not match with the gap exhaust amount, a separate positive pressure damper is installed to control the exhaust amount.

negative pressure

A forced exhaust fan is installed in the lower part of the cultivation house, and the fan operates according to the output signal of the carbon dioxide sensor and computer above the CO2 setting value and discharges indoor polluted air. It is a type of ventilation where fresh air from outside flows in through various gaps in the window.

Composite

This is a method in parallel with the above two methods, in which forced ventilation fans are installed and operated in both the supply and exhaust parts. At this time, attention should be paid to not only a special design to prevent cold draft from occurring during the air supply process, but also to design and arrange the air supply air volume, supply port location, and quantity of air supply ports appropriately according to the size of the grower. Maintain positive pressure.

Next, when ventilation using this forced ventilation method, the optimal ventilation method for the future cooling and heat industry to minimize the damage caused by ventilation heat to mushrooms is a method using a windbreak room (photo attached) by diluting a large amount of indoor air and some outdoor air. It is a system that can avoid damage from outside heat when ventilating by supply method.

Fresh air from outside is supplied into the windbreak room by the supply fan and the air from the windbreak room is supplied to the inside of the cultivation house by the ventilation fan of the indoor unit. It has a structure in which it is introduced through, diluted with external fresh air and drawn to the rear of the indoor unit cooler.
